Yet, even in his financial struggle, Cesar continued to believe in giving without asking for anything in return.

From the humble beginnings of his business venture as a calamansi juice seller, Cesar learned to invest in God’s business of blessing people and transforming lives.

Even though his loans were piling up and his income does not always suffice the needs of his family, he continues to give to different missionaries and ministries, including the Asian Center for Missions (ACM) – the missionary training arm of CBN Asia.

As a pastor himself, Cesar knows full well that missionaries need support to fulfill their godly mandate of proclaiming the gospel to nations and sharing God’s love to the lost and hurting.

However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, his faith and obedience were put to test.

“I held on to God’s Word in 2 Corinthians 8:2 where the Macedonian churches or Christians supported the missionaries despite their lack. Their situation resulted to generous giving. It made me realize that our current difficulties should not hinder our support to God’s Kingdom,” Cesar shares.

While other businesses suffered during the pandemic, Cesar’s business surprisingly flourished.

Because of his obedience to God, his calamansi juice products became a hit. Thanks to its ability to boost the immune system to fight the virus! Cesar’s sales went up during the lockdown, enabling him to reserve his income to continue operating in the next months.

Apart from it, he was able to pay some of his loans, and give grocery items to church members who lost their jobs during the lockdown. God also used Cesar in blessing the frontliners in 15 towns in Bohol through his healthy calamansi juice products.

“God has a purpose why you experience financial difficulties. God wants you to embrace Him, and to keep the faith burning. Give even if it hurts you. Give and share your blessings because it’s a huge help to others,” Cesar ended.
